Joanna Doven serves as Chief Executive Officer of the AI Strike Team, the nation's first initiative dedicated to positioning a metropolitan region to lead in the emerging AI economy. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, the world's top-ranked institution for artificial intelligence, she brings a background in crisis communications and is known for developing innovative strategies that drive transformative change.

In 2013, Doven founded Premo Consultants, where she has helped leading companies and real estate developers generate breakthrough ideas, secure record levels of government funding, forge strategic partnerships, and gain national media visibility.

Her leadership in AI-driven economic development has helped reshape Pittsburgh's innovation landscape. Through her work with Walnut Capital on the 34-acre Bakery Square development and her role in creating Pittsburgh's AI Avenue Corridor, she brought together key stakeholders including Carnegie Mellon University, Duolingo, and Google. Doven also organized the inaugural AI Horizons Summit, helped secure Pittsburgh's designation as NVIDIA's first AI Tech Community, and is a partner in an AI Factory development in Beaver County focused on transforming former steel sites into next-generation AI infrastructure. Alongside urbanist Bruce Katz, she continues to champion Pittsburgh's unique advantages in the global AI economy.
